The Office of the Provost is excited to announce the launch of George Mason University’s Graduate Division. The Graduate Division will be one of the major units of Academic Affairs within the Office of the Provost.

Keith D. Renshaw, department chair and professor of psychology, was recently appointed as associate provost of undergraduate education of George Mason University.

Brett Josephson, Associate Dean for Executive Development and Associate Professor of Marketing within the School of Business, was recently named Associate Provost for Learning Initiatives and Executive Director for George Mason University’s Continuing and Professional Education.

Alethia Shipman was recently appointed as director of student financial aid at George Mason University. Shipman, who has been with Mason for more than a year serving as associate director of financial aid, assumes the position following the retirement of Sandy Tarbox.

Rachel Yoho, the anti-racist and inclusive teaching specialist in George Mason University’s Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning, received a Fulbright Specialist Program award to work with individuals at the University of Galway in Ireland.

The new Graduate Division, directed by Associate Provost Laurence Bray, plays a lead role in preparing well-rounded and diverse graduates to contribute to research productivity and workforce development.
